Debbie,
I am so excited to tell you that Angel, my 9-year-old Boston that I adopted from you, is dong very well.  She has had no trouble adapting to her new environment. She is adorable, energetic, and very loving.  I am so very glad I adopted her, regardless of her age.  She runs circles around the house because she is excited to see me when I've been gone, she cuddles up in my pillows, and she loves walks.  I have had nothing but fun with her, and I wanted to thank you for my wonderful doggy!

Hi there,

Hi Debbie,

Hope you are finally feeling better.  We had a great trip home on
Sunday.  We have named her Molly.  And she seems to be happy to come to her name.  On Sunday night she got to help feed and walk goats and play with the outside cats and the other dogs.  She went to the Football game on Monday night and played with every person that stopped to pet her and there were several.  She is so layed back and loving.

Then last night the kids and I didn't get home until 1030 so she was in the yard with my husband peeking around the corner from the work-shop for about 4 hours with the other 2 dogs.  He said they did great.  She was running and playing.  When we got home she absolutely attacked the 3 of us.  I have NEVER seen a dog soooo happy.  She has slept with me every night and is doing wonderful.

Thank you so very much for picking our family to be blessed by such a loving, sweet dog.

Debbie and family
Hi Debbie,

Just wanted to write a quick note and let you know that Harley has been a wonderful fit for our family and a great playmate for Rocky, as well as our 3 kids!  It's almost like she's always been here.  I hope to find time to e-mail you some pictures soon!

Carina

Hi Debbie,
I just wanted to give you a few updates on Georgie (formally known as SPICE).  We took him to the vet last week and he was diagnosed with kennel cough and ringworm.  He’s been on meds for about a week now and is making quite the turnaround.  He’s adjusting extremely well otherwise.  He has had no accidents…and he walks to the door to let us know he needs to go out.  He as a voracious appetite…he’s already gained a pound since he’s been here. He is such a trooper…even with all of the bugs he is fighting.  The vet told us that he’ll recover fully, but the ringworm will have to be treated aggressively so it doesn’t spread.   It doesn’t seem to bother him much at all, he barely even scratches.  Everyone that has met him so far has all fallen in love with him, and both Derek and I don’t know what we would do without him.  I just wanted to say thank you for what you do, and for connecting us with Georgie.  He’s an amazing little dog.

Jessica

Thank you guys for doing what you do, my Dad got Fonzie from you and he is doing very good"

Hi Sally,
I have been meaning to drop you a line for a while now, just never get the chance. Almost two and a half years ago I adopted a very little Boston, that was rescued by you and your husband, named Itsy. A lot of things in my life have changed since then. My boyfriend and I split up about six months later and Itsy came home with me to my parents house, she instantly became my Fathers new best buddy. Eventually I met someone new and once again Itsy won everyone over, even the cat.  She now has a fenced in yard to run around in and loves to sunbath on the deck.  She went to the beach for the very first time last summer and loves to go for rides in the convertible  (we have a special hook up for her so she cant fall out).  Just recently we have a friends older dog living with us, he was also rescued and blind in one eye because he was abused. Their personalities couldnt be more different but they are thick as thieves and his owner says she has never seen him so happy, he even iniciates playing with her.  She tries to impose her dominance but I dont think he "gets it". I had some food agression issues with her and my ex"s lab but none whatsoever with this dog.  They lay on the floor and eat side by side, they even sniff each others full dishes out first. So once again I wanted to let you know that she is doing great and that I am so glad that I got to adopt her.  I have attached a couple of pictures so you can see her in action.Thank you again so much for all you do to save these guys lives.

Charles & I just want to say thank you for the work that you do. Luigi - now known as Jack is very sweet and seems to be making himself at home. See pic attached.
We are grateful to you. Have a happy Thanksgiving.

Kris
Hey Debbie-

I adopted Shorty now known as Kevin from you about 2 months ago.  He is doing amazing and has adjusted really well.  He loves going to the dog park and chasing squirrels.  He has had a few health things that had to be figured out but he is great now.  He still very rarely barks, and loves people and animals alike.  I attached some pics for you to put on the website if you want.

Lendsey and Kevin

Hi Debbie,

I just wanted to write one more time to give you an Oliver update. He is doing so very well. He and our Nadja, as you will see in the attached photo are doing just fine. He and our cats are also doing great, in fact in my studio they sleep together as I work, although the cats are 1 1/2 away , but sleeping in the same space. He was figured out our routine and rhythms and now seems to know when it is time to get my daughter off the bus, and also loves going on rides in the van, and has also gotten my family to go on hikes without a complaint.
I have also started leash and command training with him, he does have a little stubbornness, our other dog also had that when she was younger. But he is coming right along and doing great, he is very smart.
We just adore him, he is the perfect addition to our family, just the energy we needed.
Thank you for all you do, and thank you for allowing him to be a part of our family,
Teresa

SARAH IN HER NEW HOME IN NEW ENGLAND WITH HER ADOPTIVE FAMILY. THANKS TO LYNN OF JOURNEYS END DOG RESCUE. ANOTHER LIFE SAVED!!
Hello,
He's adapted very well into his new home and he has gotten very comfortable with us! He hasn't learned all the tricks yet, such as sitting, laying down, or to roll over, ha-ha, but he knows how to tell us when he needs to go to the bathroom :P.  He sits in front of the door and waits for us to put the leash and collar on him!  He's very smart, once he opens himself up!  He still gets a little scared to new comers but I'm sure in time, he'll overcome it and become a very social dog.  It's pretty cold so we want to keep him warm in the house and so we plan on taking him out often in the Spring when the weather gets better :). Hope you enjoy the pictures!
Sincerely,
Vesna & Tap

Romo, new home in New England
Hi, Debbie!
Just wanted to give you a quick update.  My other Dog, Scruffie, took to Mollie (Princess) immediately!  No growling, no ugly behavior!  I was shocked!  She must have been kept outdoors because she will NOT cross a threshold!  Remember how she approached the door to Petsmart and put on the brakes?  That's how she does at my door.  I've worked with her and she's already getting past that.  She is very well mannered and loving.  She slept with me last night and the only complaint I have is that she snores!!! Oh well, so do I, so I guess we're even!   She's a sweet little girl and I'm already in love!!! Thank you SO much and have a Merry Christmas!

BUSTER WITH HIS ADOPTER IN NEW ENGLAND
OSCAR IN HIS NEW HOME IN
NEW ENGLAND

Hi,
I thought I would update you on Oscar.  As you can see by his picture with his new ball and my six year old, he is doing great.  He plays fetch and tug of war, runs around the house chasing and barking at the kids.  He sleeps in the master bedroom at night and growls if he hears anything funny.  We felt bad having to leave him in the crate all day so we let him have the run of the house during the day and all has been well; no accidents, nothing chewed.  He loves running through the snow and jumps over the snow banks like a gazelle!  He still has a little cough but he is going to the vet next Monday for a checkup.  We still can't believe someone would want to give up this good boy, but we are glad that he has come to us.  He is a great fit into the family.
Thanks again, Beth Farrell

Brandy in her new home in New England

A Good Morning to You dear Ladies!
Currently, " Brandy ", now named Pekka ( pronounced Pey-ka ) is entwined on the chaise with my husband and Sima, our other Boston Terrier.
Our kindest thanks for your message Debbie and the care you offered her and offer these fostered creatures.
Her appetite is robust and she appears to be constipated. We are keeping her very warm by the woodstove and she has little interest in the out of doors with the snow and minus Farenheit temperatures ( neither do we!!!!). We are all indoors, quiet and cosy.
Sima and she have already played with a toy on their own accord, then back to sleep.
Thank you both ever so much. A splendid day to you!
Meredith

Hello,
I'm hoping that when you receive this, you're able to view the pictures. Just to say that we thought Coco was a more feminine name so my son renamed him Olan. He is finally well and doing beautifully. He loves the house, runs around the house, eats well and is house trained. He slept for about a week and a half. He was really not feeling well. I think he's had a rough go of it from being taken out of his past situation and lifestyle to finally being updated on all of his shots and other health needs. From there I guess he went into transport and traveled until he made it to us and still to travel another 2 hours home. But....he made it, he's taken all of his medicines and he is now the dog that he deserves to be. We truly love him. The things he does, the personality and such is so much like Webster. He's a very gentle loving dog. He loves us, the house, the 24/7 attention he gets, the run of the house, he loves to eat, has adopted the left corner of the couch, loves Webbys old bed, big floor pillow, loves my bed, Tyler's and he just has made himself at home. He's not fond of snow. He pees and runs back into the house.  He follows us all over the place, plays with my daughter and her husband. They are amazed at how much he's come to life since the 1st time they saw him. He slept soooo much and I'm sure he needed every bit of it. He is pure joy. He has lessened the pain and a bit of the heartbreak of losing Webby. We know he is not Webster but we sort of think that Webster sent him to us. Enjoy the pictures. Well, I'll close this for now. I would like to call you in near future just to say hi. Maria

Coco in his new home in New England. Coco was used for years as a breeder, now he has a real family!
Thank you, Lady had a nice relaxing day after she adopted us yesterday at the Adoption Event yesterday. She is a perfect fit for our family and such a cuddle bug and mellow sweetheart.

LADY IN HER NEW HOME IN NEW ENGLAND
Hi Lynn and Debbie!

Here is an adorable picture of Tassy! I will be sending some others too. She is doing great. The first few days she was pretty quiet but is really getting playful now :) I did take her to work with me and had her all checked out. All the areas where growths have been removed look good. I am feeding her the Bravo raw diet. The best choice for her medical hx and she LOVES it! She has no interest in the cat and he doesn't care about her either. I am proud of Carly and Tassy. They have been slow and gentle with each other. Needless to say we are VERY happy! Thank you for everything. Enjoy your weekend
Cecelia

TASSY, WHO I HAVE HAD FOR OVER 6 MONTHS, FINALLY GOT HER NEW HOME IN NEW ENGLAND. TASSY WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER AND WE HAD SEVERAL GROWTHS REMOVED MONTHS AGO. SHE HAS BEEN DOING GREAT AND SO WE PUT HER UP FOR ADOPTION AT NO FEE. A WONDERFUL LADY NAMED CECELIA HAS ADOPTED HER AND NOW SHE CAN LIVE OUT HER LIFE IN LUXURY!!
Good afternoon Lynn and Debbie,
Just wanted to give you a more full report on Mr. Rufus. He’s doing really good. He’s socialized very well with Chloe and definitely submits when she asserts her dominance in the house.  We had them meet at a park close to the house and they seemed to hit it off instantly. He’s even tried to play a bit with her which we stopped because of his incision and the stress he’s already experienced over the last couple of days.  He’s already eaten two small meals of chicken and rice and has taken a nap with us. His bowels have been normal. We were even able to give him a small bath.
As both you and Debbie indicated, he is very small and skinny but I think we can bulk him up into a big strong guy. We can already see he has the potential to be the Arnold Schwarzenegger of Boston’s but it will be a slow uphill climb for him. He’s got very strong legs and a very strong will.  We love how he dances on his back legs.
Other than that, he’s doing really well and we’re keeping a really close eye on him. Attached is a picture of him post-bath.
Hope you’re having a great weekend and everyone else is settling in also.
Very Respectfully,
Bill

WALL-E IN HIS NEW HOME IN NEW ENGLAND. THIS           WONDERFUL DOG WAS DUMPED AT A LOCAL OKLAHOMA         SHELTER, NOW HE HAS A GREAT, LOVING HOME
Hi Lynn & Debbie,
I just wanted to get back with you regarding Mr. Rufus’ status. He went and saw the vet yesterday for a full wellness check. He’s got a couple baby teeth still (impacted canines are visible) but the vet indicated this happens sometimes in small breeds.  When we gave him a rawhide on Saturday he wasn’t really sure what it was or what to do with it. Chloe showed him and he’s been chewing on and burying them at his convenience. His stitches from neutering are doing well despite the puppy frolics that go on between him and Chloe. The vet believes they are dissolvable but I’m going to keep an eye on them and give him a call in a week if they don’t fall out. I also had him micro-chipped while I was there. We weighed him on Monday at 13.8 lbs.  The vet weighed him yesterday at 14.0 lbs.  I weighed him again this evening and he was 14.2 lbs.  He’s still very skinny but we’re working on slowly getting him back to a good weight.  You can still see his hip bones but his ribs are slowly disappearing. Along with not knowing what to do with a rawhide, he really didn’t know what to do with a toy. Again, Chloe stepped up to the plate like a good big sister. She has a Mr. Bill toy with a noise maker in it that says “Oh NOOOOO!!!”.  When Rufus activated it, he was a little surprised.
He found his voice on Monday when he and Chloe started barking at the garbage man. I don’t know if barking was acceptable in his last home but it’s fine with us. These BT’s make much better guard dogs and the larger breeds. He then started to use his new found bark on our lazy cat, Peppers.
Thank you so much again for allowing us to bring him into our home.  He’s being a great little brother to Chloe and a great son to Michelle and me.
Very Respectfully, Bill

RUFUS WAS AN OWNER SURRENDER, HERE HE IS IN HIS NEW HOME IN NEW ENGLAND. LUCKY DOG, HE GOT A WONDERFUL HOME!

Lynn & Debbie,
HE IS GREAT!!!! Mikolaj and I are so in love with him!
To start of his new life we renamed him Leto, after a character from our favored book Dune. He is calm, sleeps a lot, and plays hard. The first day he even went to the dog park and had no problem with other dogs that are his new friends now. He outruns them all! People just love him and they can not believe that we just got him on Saturday, they think we had him for years because he is so good with us. And he loves the city.
We went to the vet on Monday and the doctor said that he is healthy (needs to drink more water!) He got chipped, so it really feels now like he is ours. Oh and he is 27lds! Tomorrow we are going to get his teeth cleaned and fix his anal glands expressed thing...
Now he is next to me dreaming with his eyes opened!
Mikolaj and I would really like to thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts!!! He is really the perfect dog.
Emilia

ANOTHER HAPPY
BOSTON IN NEW
ENGLAND WITH
HIS NEW FAMILY
Hi Debbie & Lynn!!!
I wanted to email you an update on how Polo (formerly Corey) is doing after his first week with us.  When he first arrived, he was pretty frazzled from the transport, a little dirty and had a nasty cough. We were really grateful you sent us those tips so we had a heads up on what to expect after such a long journey for him. We took him to the vet on Sunday and got him some antibiotics for the cough. I must say, he was a sleepy fella the first few days!!  Him and Bagwell (our cat) have taken to each other immediately, as you can see from one of the pictures attached. It's pretty spectacular. He is such a special little dog. He has really been perking up with each day, and I got my first voluntary Boston kiss from him two days ago :) The neighbors love him. He likes to meet people and be outside with us. And he's only had one accident since being here, and that was right after we got him home from the transport, so I don't really even count that :) I just want to thank you again for making this possible for us.  We are so grateful to have him in our lives, and I really think he's happy here too. I hope you like the pictures, and I'll send more after awhile.
Sincerely, Tara

NEW HOME IN NEW

Hi Lynn & Debbie,
Ginger is doing excellent. She is a happy little tyke. She loves to cuddle. She is a big snuggler. She never misses a meal or a treat. She and my other dog now run in the backyard and she is very comfortable there and in the house. At night she has her own bedroom with a crate, her bed, her bowls and some toys. We put here in there when we are not home, when she is eating, and when it is bedtime. (we baby gate it as opposed to closing the door). She has the whole room but she loves her crate so I just keep the crate door open. The floors are hardwood and we put down wee pads because even though she pees outside she will not poop outside yet. Don’t know why she does one outdoors and not the other. When she has to pee she even runs to my back door. But not for pooping. However the past 3 nights she has not had an overnight poop so I think soon we are going to let her sleep in our bed at night. She never misses a meal or a treat, that dog dances for food!
Attached are some pics.

Hi Debbie & Lynn,

Just wanted to let you know that Lanie is now making herself at home here with us, Clancey is excited to have her here....he hasn't smiled this much in a long time.
Ellen and I were very impressed at how smooth and efficient the whole adoption and delivery process went. The transport was on time (they were a bit ahead of schedule) and the paperwork was all in order.
We were surprised and very pleased at how affectionate and social she is....a real cuddler!
Also, we were pleased to see is in excellent physical condition...she was obviously well cared for while she was with Debbie. We both commented that her picture on the website did not do her justice...She's ADORABLE !!!!!
We have decided to rename her "Calley"  sounds good with Clancey.
I will be in touch in a week or so to let you know how she's adjusting to life in her new home.(maybe even a picture or two)
In the meantime, thanks again for all your help and the wonderful work you do.
Bill, Ellen, Clancey & Calley

Hi Lynn & Debbie,

Just wanted to touch base with you on (Bentley) Monte...He is doing absolutely wonderful!!!!! He is even staying home alone with the run of the house! He has not had any accidents!!!
He has responded to our training very very well. He knows to sit and stay before eating and getting on his leash and he defiantely knows his name as well!! I'm amazed by how smart he is!!
Pics are on there way to you, the phone on my camera broke so I have to get the pics off of my actual camera, but I will definately send you some, we have TONS!!! haha...
Thanks again for our little guy and all your help with him, we are both absolutely in love with him!
Valerie, Brian and Monte

Hi Lynn & Debbie,

Just a quick update on Calley's first week here. She has quickly become a part of our family.
We are pleased to find that she responds well to most of the "general manners" commands, and she learns very quickly. Housebreaking has not been a problem.
She is very energetic and loves to play with all the toys and Clancey has really taken to her. Although Clancey is not the most playful dog, Calley has gotten him involved in some playful wrestling matches and racing around the house.
In addition to being energetic she is VERY affectionate and loveable, she absolutely loves to cuddle!
So, that pretty much sums up her first week. I think she is as happy to be here as we are to have her!
As promised, I've attached a few pictures.
Thanks again for everything!
Bill & Ellen

BRUTUS CAME FROM A HIGH KILL SHELTER AND WAS SET TO BE EUTHANIZED. HE WAS ACTUALLY IN LINE NEXT WHEN I JUST HAPPENED TO BE TALKING TO ONE OF THE VOLUNTEERS THERE ABOUT ANOTHER DOG AND I MENTIONED THAT I RESCUE BOSTON TERRIERS. SHE PULLED HIM OFF DEATH ROW IN THE NICK OF TIME. NOW HE HAS A NEW HOME IN NEW ENGLAND WITH A WONDERFUL FAMILY. WAY TO GO, BRUTUS!!
Lynn & Debbie
We are all home safe and sound in Vermont. Suki is as sweet as everyone said. She is beautiful. Thanks for all your help in making this whole process amazingly easy. She did great on the way home in her crate. As you remember we have 4 cats, I believe all of them have seen her but she has only see 3 ! She seems very uninterested in them. She is a cuddler and gives great kisses. She spent the night in her crate. I have only fed her chicken and rice. We have our designated "potty" area that we go to outside and all is well in that department too. This morning she did investigate Darla while she was lounging in bed with "Harley" our oldest cat on the bed as well and she just sleeked by Harley to get to Darla to give some morning kisses too. Well we will be in touch.  Thanks again... We are really really happy. Vickie

VERMONT
Hi Lynn,
I hope all is well in dog hero world! I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know Brutus is doing great! His first visit with our vet went very well and he checked out in superb health. He's now microchipped and on monthly heartworm and flea meds. Liz and I simply CAN NOT believe how lucky we are to have found such a loving sweet little guy. He really is perfect in every way. We want you to know that we truly appreciate everything you and Debbie have done for Brutus, and that we will always be grateful for how you've changed our lives and those of countless others.
Check out the awesome doggie pics!!!
All the best, Pete and Liz

Hi Lynn & Debbie
Just checking in, we have making great strides with Mr. Monte. George is a lifesaver!! He has not yet been to his puppy daycare, but Monte has been spending time socializing with other dogs at a local daycare (suggested by George) and he is really coming around with getting comfortable around other people. STILL no crate, but he’s doing much better with the baby gate aggression. He’s finally not growling at Brian regularly either!! Monte has definitely taken more time then expected to get used to his new life, but I’m glad that we made the decision that we did….Attached are some pictures from this weekend, yes, that’s a life jacket, he LOVES the boat!!! And I have to say, he was quite well-mannered the entire time!!!
I thought you might like an update!
Valerie

HARLEY WITH HER NEW ADOPTER IN NEW ENGLAND
Debbie,
Thank you so much for all you do to help dogs in need. We are so thankful to have Elliot as part of our family and as you can see from the attached photos, she is settling in nicely. We are enjoying her and getting to see more and more of her personality. She definitely knows what she likes and is doing a good job of TRAINING/TEACHING US to give it to her.
Thank you again,
The Duffs,
Steve, Angie, Jessica, McKenzie, Alexis, Adam, Dexter and our little DIVA, Elliot.

Just wanted to let you know that Lady/Elliot is doing very well. She has settled in and is now in CHARGE!  We are loving her quirky little personality and mannerisms. She is really a little goofball!!!  We are so happy with her and just wanted to send you a couple more pics and an update. We hope things are going well with you and yours.
Thank you again,
The Duffs

   Blue arriving in New England
Hi Debbie & Lynn!

We just wanted to send you a little update on our boy Blue. We couldn't be happier........and I think he feels the same way! Blue is so much fun and such a happy little guy. He loves all of us and spends equal cuddle time with each of us. I think because he has Luke to stay with he's fine. He has not had one accident.  e's so good about coming to
get us when he needs to go out. Just amazing! He loves to play fetch and has no interest to leave the yard. He always wants to be near us. He
loves going for rides in the car and we take him every chance we can. He's such a snuggle bug!
He's Perfect! Hope you're doing well. Thanks again for all of your hard work with the rescue dogs. We know what a special experience it is and it was great to be on the receiving end this time!   Take care.
Tracy and family

Debbie, Bree visited the vet today. Everything looks fine. The whole staff was saying what a sweetheart she is. Bree has been eating her Purina dog chow since Day1. She appears to be a good car traveler. Next step -- make arrangements for obedience training. She already follows the 'Stay' command pretty well. I will send pictures soon. Jan
Debbie, Bree has done well this past month since coming to her new home. She has heard several things in the past month that every girl wants to hear including: 'she is as cute as she can be' & 'she looks like a young pup' (when people hear she is probably 2 or 3 yrs old).
Attached are some photos -- one from a visit to the dog park and one taken by my sister of Bree snuggled in my lap under her lightweight blanket.
Regards, Jan

Debbie-

We just wanted to let you know how great Cleo, now Allie, is doing in her new home. She has been getting along great with our terrier and 2 year old. She loves cuddling up in all the blankets and on her couch. Once we got home, our family felt whole. Thank you so much for such a wonderful girl!

Hi Debbie,
I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely LOVE Tanya-- the Boston Terrier I adopted from you about 6 weeks ago! She and my other boston are getting along really well.
And, I want you to know that I really appreciate that you chose me to adopt Tanya. (I've renamed her Ella.) She's such a sweetheart, and has really lifted my 8-year-old (Ella) boston's spirits. She's a rescue, too.
Thanks for all you do to help save these little guys. I enjoyed meeting you, and wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving, too!  Thank you!  Best wishes, April

Just wanted to send you a little note to tell you about my rescue. I adopted a deaf Boston Terrier from you a year and a half ago. He was previously called Boston and is now Norman. He is the absolute love of my life. He started out shy but now has a playful personality and is always the life of the party at my house. He loves being petted and going for walks and eating turkey and greenies. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to these special creatures. Sincerely, Erin
Hey Debbie, Just wanted you to know that "Gus" is doing great. Thanks to your advice he is no longer tearing stuff up - well, not all the time now. I did get him a crate (don't like them) he stayed in his crate a couple of day's - I didn't like it - don't he did either. But, I think it helped a great deal. Now he goes to his crate for fun. Crazy little boy!! It's been 1 mth. we have had him - he is such a joy and quite the character too. He is getting along with our older Boston - brotherly love now. He took his first roadtrip on Thanksgiving - he did awesome. Was really proud of him. He is now apart of this family & has all the love and then some!! He is gaining weight too - after 2 rounds of worm med. Loves the neighbor's horse's too - he sit's at the fence & appears to talk to them!! So funny........We can't Thank You enough for introducing us to him. I'll send pic's at a later date. Right now can't get him to sit down long enough to take a pic - he is busy all the time!!! Again, we are so in love with him. He is a perfect fit in our family!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU Sincerely, Denise
