Jackson and Daria

Daria and Jackson May 2008

Daria the little white Frenchie came to OBTRS deaf. Her brother Jackson was her ears. He would nudge her when someone came in the room or if I opened the door for outside potty time he made sure she knew what was happening so she would follow along. It was the so cool that he cared that much for his sister and that he knew she needed him. Needless to say we knew they had to stay together and found them the best forever home where they would be with each other for the rest of their lives.  They are loved and cared for like royalty.

Lilly June 2001

My husband and I adopted Tinker (now Lily) from you back in June 2001.  I just wanted to thank you again for helping to bring her into our lives.  I can't begin to tell you how much joy she brings us.  I have enclosed a picture of her and Daisy (my older Boston) that I took today.  I wanted you to know that she is still happy and healthy and that we are very grateful for all the time and effort you put in to keeping these angels safe and finding them good forever homes. Lily is pictured on the right.

Harlwy Boston

Harley Dec 07

My husband and I were searching for a Boston Terrier for my birthday. I was raised with a Boston which I lost during my senior year in high school. We were looking all over Oklahoma for a Boston Terrier when I saw one on Pet Finder.com Harley now has a new family which includes one fur child Cynda, our Blue Heeler and our two human children. He is absolutely wonderful in every Boston way. He is loved and loves to love. It only took him a few days to come completely out of his shell and open up to us. He loves to sleep with the children (under the covers of course). Cynda and Harley love to play together, but I believe their favorite game is to see how quickly they can steal toys from the children. The go crazy when they succeed and make the children chase them. He loves to be in your lap purring as only Boston Terrier's can. Thank you for all that you do for this wonderful breed.

GIGI June 07

Gigi, our French Bulldog, is our third dog and second rescue dog. She lives in KS with Bella and Brando, her boxer siblings. Gigi has fit right into the family and has quickly figured out that she has a pretty good deal here. Gigi is deaf, so she follows the lead of the 'big' dogs and she is learning more sign language all the time. The house is adjusting to a new dog and she to it...

Man and his dog
Bruno Dec 07

Adopting a dog is the best feeling in the world. If we ever get another dog we will adopt again.  The rescue group and Bruno's foster family were great. They were so sweet, caring and good people to work with. I found Bruno the Frenchie on line at www.petfinder.com. This little guy has been a blessing to us. He was an early Christmas present for my husband Phil. It was not a surprise because we wanted to make sure Phil was onboard 100% before bringing in a new member of our family. Phil was still surprised that we cared enough to fulfill his dream dating back to his childhood to have a Frenchie.  Phil loves Bruno so much...we all do. Thanks again to you all for making this happen and for taking such good care of the fosters until they find forever homes.

Otis Nov 07

When we started looking for a Frenchie puppy to add to our family we never imagined we would end up flying to OK from MN to rescue such a wonderful character! Once we saw the gorgeous litter on Petfinder.com we knew we were in trouble. When we received approval we made plans to fly to OK to meet our brindle boy, which we eventually named Otis. Otis has been a perfect addition to our family. He is a bundle of joy and energy which keeps us laughing all the time. He loves our 2 cats and male lab. He even seems to like the MN snow...briefly of course! We are so thankful to OBTRS for giving us the opportunity to give this little guy his forever home!

BOBO Nov 07
We were so fortunate to have found Bobo (pictured left)and have him join our family!! We began our seach for a new family member and brother or sister for our young Boston Terrier "Daisy". We looked at several different websites and we settled on Petfinder.com to find a rescued/foster dog.  We were so lucky to have run across a local Foster family that had Boston Terriers and French Bulldogs.  Our search was originally for another Boston but as soon as we met lil Bobo, it was a done deal for both of us, he stole our hearts. Diana had everything prepared and was very informative about Bobo's needs including a very informative printout from Bobo's vet to inform us of anything we might need to know health wise for him to stay current and healthy. Diana also provided a great training DVD. That really wasn't needed for Bobo because he is so well behaved, but it helped us a lot with issues with training our baby Daisy. The DVD also provided us with coupons and savings at local stores. I would highly recommend Diana and Oklahoma Boston Terrier and French Bulldog Rescue. It has been a great experience for our family and we already have plans with them for upcoming visits and fun!

Oscar  Nov 07
I just wanted to send you an update on Jean-Luc. We have named him Oscar, and he is doing great! He has stopped chasing the kitties relentlessly, and JT has decided to be his friend. Oscar is such a cuddle-bug, and Russell has already gotten him in a bad habit..after his early morning 2am) potty break, Oscar sleeps in the bed with us until we wake up. He is spoiled rotten already, and everyone just loves him.

George Oct 07
It's very hard for me to put into words how much having George in our family means to us.  When I first saw the picture of George on petfinder.com and read his listing, we kept saying that there was no way this could be true, he was simply too perfect and exactly what we were looking for.  We received the call that we had been approved for adoption.  We were excited to see George and brought along our Boston Terrier, Eleanor Mae to meet him.  The bond between the two was almost instant. They are the best of friends. George has become not only part of our family, but part of our hearts as well.  He adapted easily to our family and after nearly a month he acts as if he has always been with us.  He loves going to work, he cuddles and plays with his sister, he is our comedian, our protector, and we couldn't imagine life without him.  Thanks for everything you do and for all the hard work that goes into finding these fosters great forever homes!  We were impressed with all the detail and background checks that go into finding the best homes for your foster fur kids.

Suzie September 07
I spent a lot of time on the internet looking for a Frenchie to adopt.  I REALLY wanted a Frenchie because they have the best personalities, they are always happy to see you and ready to play and be rowdy or cuddle up and be loved on.  Then I came across my Little Suzie and some of her foster brothers and sisters at the Oklahoma Frenchie and Boston Rescue on "Petfinder.com". I filled out my application and spoke with Diana. As soon as I was approved I was able to choose from the Frenchies she had available. I fell in love the minute I met Suzie. She has the cutest face and makes the funniest little piglet snorks, but the rest of her was a mess!  "Bless her Heart " is all I kept thinking. She had to have a partial mastectomy because the breeder she came from had let the mastitis get so bad her flesh was literally rotting and there were all the bald spots from the untreated mange. By the time I took her home she was well on her way to recovery. We could not love her more and she is a very welcome addition to our family!

Tucker June 07
My new mom adopted me on 6/25/07.  It was a long ride to my new home in Illinois (it took til tomorrow to get there!) but it's ok cause my new forever home is great!  It has a really cool fenced back yard where I can run and play with all my new fur cousins.  One of my humans hung a bungee rope from a tree for me to play with.  Wow, is it ever fun!  I have a new yorkie brother, Gus. He likes to play with me and keeps me company when my humans are gone. I started beginning obedience school, and well, I was the star of the evening I think, cuz I got lots of attention -- I "frenchified" everyone!

Hooper Aug 07
Hooper (on the right) is doing fine. You wouldn't even know he's only been here for a month! He's just so sweet and such a cuddle bug! Jack and he are great friends and other than the usual little tiffs which we nip in the bud right away, they get along fabulously and play together like two demons possessed! It's so funny to watch them run around with a toy together and sharing their meals!

Sopia
Sophia Sept 07
Sophia is doing well. Just last night and this morning she started going to the door to let us know she has to go out. We've been crate training her so that makes it much easier. Our dog Lola (pictured left) is still getting used to a puppy being around.
Bijou
Bijou Sept 07
As a newly married couple, the last thing we thought we would need to add to our lives was a new dog. We already had a very needy, hyperactive pug, Boss, to handle. We realized he needed a buddy. We had always wanted a French Bulldog. Fortunately, we found this adoption site and found Bijou. When we first met Bijou, she bullied Boss, pushed him around and chased him around the room...but low and behold, he liked it. Now we can't imagine how our lives would be without her. She has been a wonderful pet and a good fit with Boss. They keep each other company when we are at work and they keep each other balanced. Between crazy fits of sprints around the house, they also keep each other exercised. We couldn't have had a better experience than with Bijou. We AND Boss thank you very much!
jack
Jack Sept 07
Jack is doing well. He has adjusted with his bigger sister Miss Beasley (Old English Bulldog). He is already potty trained; we have a doggie door which has helped. He loves to be praised. He is just the joy of our lives. I just can't say thank-you enough to you and all the people who open up their homes to these animals. Maybe if things work out in the future we can become foster parents too.
Dog
Rosie Sept 07
Rosie came into our lives when we needed her the most. She is sweet, has very good house manners, loves to play with her sister Mia and Kylie the Siamese kitten. She made herself right at home and it seems like she has been with us forever. We can not imagine our life without her. She loves to dunk her sister Mia in the little pool and loves to play with her toys but will cuddle up with you when it's time to rest or sleep.

Percy Aug 07
Percy is very happy and loving! He has a great time with his brother Elliotte and his sister Geena. He sleeps in my Granddaughter Jasmine's arms.

Veeveeka Aug 07
Veeveeka is doing very well.  The girls love her and she is so kind to them.  She is never far away when the kids are playing outside or in, but she definitely prefers to be inside.  Iris walks her in the mornings and evenings and she is doing very well on the leash. We love her very much already and she is such a joy.

Elly Aug 07
I just wanted to check in with you and let you know that Elly (Abby) is doing great. It took her about a month to fully adjust and come out of her shell, but she seems to be very happy and comfortable here now. She has made us very happy and continues to make us laugh. Everyone who meets her always goes on and on about how cuddly and sweet she is.  She has slept in my bed with me every night since I've had her. I don’t think I could bare to make her sleep all alone!

SnuggleBunny Aug 07
Snuggle Bunny was adopted by a wonderful family in Illinois who drove to OK to pick him up. They are absolutely crazy about the boy! He now has a Yorkie brother and loves playing with all the family including the little ones.

Big Jim  June  07
Just wanted to let you know that Big Jim is doing great, he seems to love it here. Already he is sleeping in bed with us and has become a great member of the family, the other two dogs love him and their days are filled with play. As you said, "this is his forever home."
I can't tell you how much I appreciate all that you have done towards the rescuing of these dogs, you are the main reason I chose "Big Jim", I could tell that his new home was very important to you. Ohhhhh, Jim is eating great and my other two dogs are getting tons of exercise, it's a win, win for all of us.
